MKDB prepares its company members for a variety of performing arts opportunities and offers intensives and workshops to underserved communities. The mission of MKDB is to celebrate diversity while expanding the culture of dance.

Miss K, a native of Fort Smith, Arkansas, a thirteen year resident of California, has seventeen years of recreational, childcare and education experience along with twenty-plus years of choreographic and dance education and experience.
Her credits include GCP’s “HairSpray”, “Dreamgirls”, “Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, Choreographer for Fresno State University, “For Colored Girls…,”, "Carmen Jones,", “Crowns”, master teacher and panelist positions and many other choreographic works and awards.
Miss K is known for her messages of social justice, acceptance, and unity through her choreography and high profile performance opportunities. Her platform of “Celebrating Diversity” began when she was crowned Miss Black Arkansas USA 2006, she has continued to celebrate the beauty in the differences of others through her choreography, musical theater works, community projects and workshops.
